Day 1 Amsterdam Set sail from this exotic and colorful city Welcome to Amsterdam. We’ll meet you at the airport and transfer you to your ship.* After boarding, you have free time to get acquainted with this canal-laced city. Dinner included.

Day 2 Amsterdam Cruise Amsterdam’s canals and visit the famed Van Gogh Museum After breakfast, embark on a canal cruise. From your glass-topped boat, see architecture of the city’s Golden Age. Then, visit the Van Gogh Museum. After lunch aboard, take free time to visit the Anne Frank House or explore the city. Dine aboard; evening departure. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 3 Hoorn, Volendam Explore medieval streets and a horn-shaped harbor Your morning tour features a guided walk through Hoorn’s cobbled streets. See age-old cheese warehouses and the Westfries Museum on the town’s main square. Enjoy free time before returning for lunch aboard. Your afternoon cruise brings you to Volendam, a quaint fishing village with fishermen who still dress in traditional costume. Stroll through the narrow streets, visit a local bakery and shop for souvenirs. Depart during dinner and cruise through the night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 4 Arnhem, Nijmegen Catch a glimpse of the Dutch royal family’s home After early arrival in Arnhem, take a motorcoach to Paleis Het Loo,† the Dutch Royal Family’s favorite former summer residence. Take a guided tour through its sumptuously furnished rooms. Free time allows for a stroll through its beautifully landscaped gardens. After lunch aboard, enjoy free time. Or, join the optional battlefield tour that also visits the Airborne Museum. Cruise through dinner to Nijmegen, one of Holland’s oldest cities. Enjoy evening at leisure here. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. †Closed Mondays; battlefield visit or museum tour will be substituted.

Day 5 Dordrecht See the working gears of a historic windmill After breakfast arrival in Dordrecht, take a motorcoach to Kinderdijk, home to many 18th century windmills. Tour a working windmill at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to your ship for lunch. During afternoon free time, discover the town’s Old Quarter, city gate and 14th century church. Depart mid-afternoon; dinner aboard. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 6 Brussels, Antwerp Behold beautiful squares & baroque facades After a late breakfast, take a motorcoach to Brussels where you visit Grand Place, one of Europe’s most beautiful squares. During your tour, see the Atomium, Royal Palace, Parliament Building and Palace of Justice as well as the famous statue, Mannekin-Pis. Return to your ship mid-afternoon for tea and snacks. Spend free time in Antwerp by seeing Our Lady Cathedral, the Town Hall and Steen Castle. Dinner is aboard. Your ship overnights here. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 7 Ghent An idyllic setting for this quaint, cozy village From Ghent, take a morning motorcoach to Brugge, one of the oldest towns in Flanders. Your city walk visits the Church of Our Lady, with its famous Madonna and Child, sculpted by Michelangelo. Also see the Beguinage, a hidden courtyard inhabited by nuns, and the town’s scenic criss-crossed canals. Stay in Brugge for lunch on your own or return to your ship for lunch. Depart Ghent this evening and cruise through the night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 8 Middelburg, Rotterdam See how the Netherlands holds back the sea Your tour begins with a walk through Middelburg. From here, take a motorcoach to Neeltje Jans Expo where you learn more about the area’s devastating floods and how the Delta Works protect Holland from the sea. See the hydraulic lock system and walk along the massive dam. Return to your ship for lunch and afternoon cruising. Arrive this evening in Rotterdam, rebuilt after much World War II destruction. Today it’s the world’s second largest port. Your evening is at leisure; dinner aboard. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 9 Amsterdam Walk through the world’s largest flower garden After breakfast, take a motorcoach to picturesque Keukenhof Gardens, world’s largest floral park. Take in the stunning floral beauty at both indoor and outdoor exhibits of millions of vibrant blooms including tulips, hyacinths, croci and daffodils. Return to your ship for lunch. The rest of the day is yours to discover Amsterdam’s hidden treasures. You may choose to explore Museum Square, the Red Light District, or shop for colorful clogs and tulip bulbs. Your dinner is served aboard, followed by free time to enjoy Amsterdam’s café night life. Your ship remains docked overnight. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
